OUTFITTER'S LODGE | Gear up for your family’s day hike or fishing trip at the Queens Gap Outfitter’s Lodge. At the intersection of Cove Creek and Broad River, you’ll find this cozy getaway where you can fulfill your every outdoor need. A community gathering place both before and after your outdoor play, the Outfitter has gear for every adventure whether stargazing by night, or kayaking by day. This is also the place where you can go to have us arrange lessons or a guided tour when you want to try something new – bird watching, canoeing or waterskiing on Lake Lure.
HIKING TRAILS | At Queens Gap, all paths lead to secret pockets of unspoiled beauty. With miles and miles of hiking trails that traverse along mountain streams, up grassy knobs, through heavily wooded forests and past “Shelf Rock” (a favorite hiding place for cuddly critters), the word “nature walk” finds a whole new meaning. Along the way, walkers and hikers will find small resting spots that blend with the surrounding nature – a cove of Aspens, a large boulder beside a waterfall – all picture perfect places to take a well deserved break.

FISHING | Water is king at Queens Gap. Rivers, creeks and lakes provide a haven for avid fishermen and the people who love them! Fully stocked each year with trout, blue gill, small mouth bass and perch, the Broad River and Cove Creek will be the ideal spots for families who want to spend the day together trying to catch “the big one”. And then there’s “Go Fish” Pond for the little ones. Specially stocked each season to increase their odds, this lucky watering hole has been created to ensure a catch each time the kids are at the shore.
THE GOLF CLUBHOUSE | Everything at Queens Gap has been designed with a multigenerational family in mind – including The Club at Queens Gap.
